VideoPush
NOTES: VideoPush is available only in exacqVision Enterprise. An exacqVision Enterprise client on the same network
must be configured to receive VideoPush before this feature is available. To enable VideoPush on the target client, open
the Client page on that system and select the Enable Receiving Display checkbox.
VideoPush allows you to send groups, views, layouts, and more to another client on the same network. This can be a
useful feature for public-view monitors or video walls that do not have a keyboard and mouse connected. To use
VideoPush to send views and more to another client, complete the following steps:
1. Click the button to open the VideoPush window.
2. A list of available clients is displayed.
3. Select the checkbox for one or more target clients (or Select All). Each client must be connected to the servers
associated with the items being sent.
4. To send items in full-screen mode, right-click the target client and select Push Full Screen.
5. Click Send to copy the current view to the selected client. Alternatively, you can drag any item or group of items
from the site tree directly onto the client’s name in the VideoPush window and then click Send.
6. The Status column displays information about whether the VideoPush was successfully executed. If a target
client is not connected to a system associated with one or more sent items, it will not receive those items. The
Status column will indicate how many items were received successfully by that client.
See the next page for an explanation of what the target client displays when it receives a VideoPush.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
You can send groups, views, layouts, individual cameras, entire systems, maps, tours, and profiles using
VideoPush.
If you simply want to send a currently displayed video window or layout without dragging items from the site
tree, right-click the video window and select VideoPush. Then select Video or Layout from the pop-up menu.
If you will be sending a VideoPush to a public-view monitor or video wall, it is recommended that you configure
exacqVision Client to run on system startup on the target client. This option can be enabled during client
installation.
By default, Power Users and Full Admin users can execute a VideoPush. Any user with lower permission levels
must specifically be granted access to VideoPush in Custom User Privileges before using the feature.
The Collapse button reduces the size of the VideoPush window if it is covering video windows that you want to
see. All clients that were selected before you clicked Collapse remain selected in the smaller screen, even though
you cannot see the list.
You can configure a VideoPush event button and then drag and drop cameras onto the button to push the video.
